Little Kitchen Academy Vancouver Fraser is looking for Summer Break Instructors who are kind, enthusiastic, have a passion for nutrition, love working with children, and feel comfortable in the kitchen. Morning, afternoon, and evening positions are available. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.
We are currently hiring 1-2 Instructors for our Summer Break Camps that run from: June 29 - September 4. You must be available to work for the majority of the Summer Break as well as to start training as early as June.
Instructors need to have or be open to obtaining current food handling certification (FoodSafe) criminal record check, and First Aid/CPR/AED Training.
LKA is a VERY fast paced environment and job entails being on your feet for 4 hours or more and will include some heavy lifting.
Job duties include but but not limited to:
-Teaching life skills and food literacy while teaching recipe of the day to students ages 3 - 18.
- Providing support to students and lead instructors during class.
- Opening / closing duties including but not limited to cleaning the environment & a lot dishes, receiving and putting away supplies, keeping the environment clean and organized.
Experience with working with children is a MUST.
Cooking / Kitchen experience is a MUST.
Must be available to work during our Spring Break March 14-30. With the option to continue on Part-Time and during our Summer Break camps.
