We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about aesthetic plastic surgery and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for a nurse with 5+ years of clinical experience who enjoys combining surgical nursing, patient education, advanced technology, and relationship-building throughout the entire surgical journey.
As an integral member of our surgical team, you will work closely with our plastic surgeon, guiding patients from consultation through recovery while delivering compassionate, detail-oriented care that reflects the highest standards of the specialty. What You'll Do:
- Build trusted relationships with patients throughout their surgical journey, from consultation through post-op.
- Perform nursing assessments, patient education, wound and drain care, suture and staple removal, scar management, and ongoing post-operative follow-up.
- Assist with in-office minor local procedures.
- Utilize advanced technologies including electronic medical records (NexTech), Vectra 3D imaging, and clinical photography to document patient care and outcomes.
- Coordinate post-op communications, triage patient concerns, review results, and ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Contribute to maintaining our exceptional clinical environment through organization, quality assurance, and a commitment to excellence in every patient interaction.
- Participation in progressive clinical project management (i.e. social media support and ad-hoc projects). Social media fluency is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Current RN registration with the CNO
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current BCLS certification
- Membership with the RNAO (can be obtained upon hire)
- 5+ years of nursing experience; recent surgical or perioperative experience is considered a strong asset
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and patient education skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable using technology and electronic medical records (experience with NexTech is an asset)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
