Triton Automotive and Industrial Ltd, located in Squamish, British Columbia, north of Vancouver, has an opening for a part time front counter person in our automotive department.
An Automotive Parts Counter Person acts as the primary link between the parts department and customers. Responsibilities include using electronic and manual catalogs to identify and order parts, managing inventory, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized department. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Serving customers in person and over the phone, providing price quotes, and offering expert advice on parts selection.
- Parts Identification: Using computer systems and catalogs to identify, locate, and order necessary parts.
- Inventory Control: Pulling orders from stock, restocking shelves and processing returns.
- Sales & Service: Promoting product lines, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
- Technology: Proficiency with inventory software, electronic catalogs, and computer systems.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and handle materials.
- Organization: Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage inventory and multiple orders simultaneously.
Common Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or automotive experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or dealership environment.
Hours will be Saturday, Monday and Tuesday 8am - 5pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
