Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Student Services team. The successful candidate will play a key provide quality occupational therapy services, which include assessment and evaluation, intervention and treatment, environmental modifications, safety and accessibility discharge planning, related documentation and communication between teachers, educational assistants, other service providers, and families.
- Assist with assessment and early intervention to support student skills related to academics, play and leisure, social participation, daily living, and individual or group participation.

Provide meaningful activities and therapy interventions that promote student independence, physical and mental health, and overall well-being.Monitor student progress and make timely, informed decisions regarding intervention strategies and supports.

Communicate goals and recommendations to parents, teachers, educational assistants, and other partners.

Coach educational assistants and support teachers with appropriate classroom strategies, as required.

Maintain confidential records, prepare timely reports, and participate in team meetings.

Collaborate with school teams, families, and external professionals/agencies to support student needs.

Stay current with best practices, new information, innovative ideas, and techniques.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships and follow all divisional practices, procedures, and health and safety policies.

Travel throughout the division will be required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized University

Registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists

Pediatric Experience will be considered as an asset

A current satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector clearance is required
