Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to provide excellent customer service at our retail location. The ideal candidate will efficiently handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean and organized station environment. Bilingual skills and familiarity with retail sales and POS systems are highly valued to enhance the customer experience and support sales initiatives.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, purchases, and inquiries
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Manage merchandise merchandising, restocking, and cleanliness of the station area
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to increase sales opportunities
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or in person
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times in the station area
- Handle cash, process payments, and provide accurate change
- Support inventory management and organize products for easy customer access
- Assist in promotional activities and product displays to boost retail sales
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish are a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising, and inventory management tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism with phone etiquette and customer interactions
- Multilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if needed
- A positive attitude with strong organizational skills to maintain station standards
Pay: $17.60 per hour
