Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments with precision and security
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure product displays are tidy and appealing
- Provide product demos when applicable, especially in technology or electronics sections
- Assist customers with inquiries, returns, or exchanges in a professional manner
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and ensuring product placement aligns with store standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating totals
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient checkout processes
