Oakville Academy for the Arts is expanding our Kinder School Program and is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our growing team.
Our unique program combines inquiry-based learning with a rich integration of the arts, creating an inspiring environment where children thrive through exploration, creativity, and discovery. With small class sizes and low educator-to-child ratios, this position is ideal for an educator who values autonomy in the classroom and is excited to share their passion for learning with young children.
Qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Be a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of:
- ELECT (Early Learning for Every Child Today)
- How Does Learning Happen?
- Reggio Emilia Philosophy
- Project-Based Learning Approach
- Hold a valid CPR and First Aid Certification (Level C).
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last six months).
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Handler Certificate.
- Be available to work flexible shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m..
- Be a collaborative team player and a motivated self-starter.
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for children, education, and lifelong learning.

- Have an outgoing, positive, and professional demeanor.
- Be comfortable working with a variety of age groups.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Be legally entitled to work and currently reside in Canada.
