We at Banff International Hostel are looking for a new team member to join us adventuring in the mountains. For us, the ideal applicant would be someone who is lively, responsible, outgoing and likes to socialize with guests on a daily basis.
This position will be a mix of both Front Desk and Housekeeping.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests upon arrival
- Register guests and assign rooms
- Take, cancel, and change room reservations
- Balance cash/cards at end of shift
- Provide information on local points of interest
- Perform related Front Desk duties as directed by Supervisor
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
- Making beds
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Dusting and vacuuming
- Cleaning common areas (kitchen, common room, dining area, reception)
- Laundry duties
- General upkeep and cleanness of our beautiful hostel
Skills:
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
- Knowledge of office management
- Proficient in English (oral and written)
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication and people skills
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Problem-solving skills Customer service orientation
Full training will be provided, but having experience in customer services is an asset.
Staff accommodation is available

Pay: $16.22-$17.00 per hour
