Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Machinist, Programmer, and Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality precision components. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC programming (especially Fanuc controls), and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings will drive our manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, apply your skills in machining and assembly, and contribute to innovative production processes in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to ensure precise manufacturing of parts.
- Set up CNC lathes and milling machines, including loading tools with hand tools and calibrating equipment with calipers for accuracy.
- Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring operations to maintain quality standards throughout production runs.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to produce components that meet exact tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and verifying dimensions during the machining process.
- Conduct assembly tasks when required, utilizing power tools and welding techniques for finishing products as specified.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow.
- Assist in training new team members on machine operation, safety protocols, and programming basics as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Programmer with hands-on knowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes, blueprint reading, and the use of measuring tools such as calipers.
- Skilled in CNC programming using CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks or other CAD programs; experience with CNC lathe and milling machines is essential.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles including lean manufacturing practices for efficiency improvement.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), welding equipment, and other shop machinery safely.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during setup and production runs.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to machining environments including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Join us in a role where your technical expertise fuels innovation! We’re committed to fostering a vibrant work environment that values your skills while supporting your growth within the manufacturing industry.
