Overview
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to operate commercial freight routes between Canada and the USA. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing long-distance transportation while ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and the ability to handle various operational tasks associated with cross-border trucking.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across international routes between Canada and the United States, adhering to all federal and state/provincial regulations.
- Transport freight efficiently while maintaining scheduled delivery times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Handle freight loading and unloading, utilizing forklift or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical issues during transit.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, logs, and compliance reports.
- Ensure proper securing of freight to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and border officials to coordinate deliveries and manage schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for long-haul operations.
- Proven experience in freight transportation, especially across international borders (Canada-USA).
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive repair and troubleshooting is desirable.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards for cross-border trucking.
- Excellent navigation skills and the ability to manage long hours on the road.
- Must possess good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service.

Pay: $50,000.00-$108,000.00 per year
