Job Summary
PAPIYONA Home Decor is seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for home decor and retail management to foster a welcoming environment and achieve business goals.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and merchandising displays.
- Oversee inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock management to optimize sales opportunities.
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients.
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain administrative responsibilities such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards.
- Organize promotional events and oversee visual merchandising to enhance store appeal.
Skills
- Proven leadership with supervising experience in retail or similar environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for bookkeeping purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote store products effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for better customer engagement.
- Competence in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Skills in budgeting, sales management, and administrative tasks such as payroll processing.
