Irrigation Technician – Kore Ventures Inc.
Job Location: South Surrey and Delta/Tsawwassen
With potential routing into East Surrey and Richmond
Kore Ventures Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues with confidence, and deliver high‑quality service to our residential and commercial clients. Wage:
$30–$40 per hour to start, with performance‑based increases at 3 months and 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform independent service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues with 2‑wire systems, valves, solenoids, controllers, and wiring
- Conduct system start‑ups, winterizations, blowouts, and seasonal adjustments
- Install, replace, and calibrate irrigation components, including heads, nozzles, drip lines, and controllers
- Troubleshoot and repair low‑voltage lighting systems and related electrical components
- Perform backflow testing, reporting, and repairs in accordance with certification requirements
- Assess system performance and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements or upgrades
- Read and interpret site plans, wiring diagrams, and irrigation layouts
- Maintain accurate service notes, job records, and customer communication logs
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding findings, recommendations, and service needs
- Operate service vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Collaborate with team members when needed, while maintaining the ability to work independently
- Represent Kore Ventures Inc. with professionalism, reliability, and a strong customer‑service mindset
Requirements
- 5+ years of independent irrigation service experience
- Strong experience with 2‑wire systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot valves, wiring, and lighting
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Required & Preferred Certifications
Certifications:
- CIT 1 (*required)
- CIT2 (preferred)
- Backflow ticket (*required)
- Low voltage certification (preferred) (either IIABC’s electrical troubleshooting course or a Class C-R ticket)
