Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales activities
- Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales goals and maintain high levels of customer service
- Manage payroll, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional campaigns aligned with marketing initiatives
- Ensure compliance with store policies, health and safety regulations, and company standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and uphold excellent phone etiquette
- Manage POS systems, purchasing processes, and store merchandising to optimize sales opportunities
- Contribute to budgeting, sales management, and store planning activities to meet business objectives
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience within retail or similar environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Experience in merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing
- Demonstrated organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
- Ability to recruit, interview, train, and develop staff members
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, customer service standards, and store management practices
- Competence in budgeting, payroll processing, and financial recordkeeping
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
