Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper who works closely with Quickbooks Online and is well versed in categorizing. This company is a Service based industry who employs only contractors. You must be familiar with this type of industry (Wellness - Massage, Chiropractor clinics). We do sell minimal products. We use JaneApp, Square POS, and are looking for someone to work with us to help us understand the software as well.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. The position requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry and record keeping
- Utilize accounting software QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account reconciliation procedures regularly to verify ledger balances
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting tasks
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues against forecasts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain organized files and documentation for audit purposes
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis techniques
- Ability to perform payroll processing accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills for budgeting and financial reporting
