About the Role
A growing organization in the roofing and construction sector is seeking a Procurement / Purchaser to join its team. This role is key in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of materials required for roofing projects across multiple job sites.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. Experience in roofing or construction procurement is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase roofing and construction materials
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Review project requirements and ensure materials are ordered accurately and on time
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate project needs
- Compare pricing and ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards
- Coordinate deliveries with project managers and site teams
- Track orders, confirm lead times, and resolve supply issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Support budgeting and cost control initiatives
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (construction industry preferred)
- Roofing or construction industry experience is a strong asset
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or purchasing systems (ERP experience an asset)
