Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Gym Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our fitness facility with the main responsibility of ensuring the MALE LOCKER AREA AND SHOWERS are up to standards. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for members and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall customer experience while working in a dynamic fitness setting.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize gym male locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and methods
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and fitness equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking supplies and reporting any facility issues or damages
- Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items in designated areas
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Ensure all areas of the gym meet health and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable working in the men’s changerooms.
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or extractors is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to schedules and standards
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean environment for gym members and staff
- Passion for Health and Fitness
- Ability to lift minimum 50lbs to reorganize weights and handle deliveries
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
