Job Summary
We are seeking a talented & experienced Freelance Reporter to join our news team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for journalism, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to craft engaging stories & take photographs that resonate with our audience.
Duties
- Conduct thorough research to uncover newsworthy stories
- Write clear, concise, and compelling articles on various topics as assigned by the editor
- Interview sources and gather information for articles
- Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy and adherence to editorial guidelines
- Cover breaking news events and report in real-time
- Collaborate with the editor to brainstorm ideas and develop story angles
Experience
- Proven experience as a Reporter or Journalist, or Magazine writer
- Strong writing and communication skills, using Microsoft Word to write stories
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, complete assigned stories
- Proficiency in proofreading and copy editing
