Oxford House Saskatchewan is a member driven organization that provides safe affordable housing for people who’ve recently completed addictions treatment and are at risk of homelessness. Having a safe and sober place to call home provides people the opportunity to recovery with dignity, confidence and security. This means members are more likely to remain sober longer, and the longer a person can remain sober after leaving treatment, the better their chances are of staying on the path of recovery.
Program Administrator
Job Purpose: The Intake Coordinator position is responsible for intake and orientation of individuals who meet the eligibility criteria of membership for Oxford House Saskatchewan and who wish to become residence of one of Oxford’s homes. As well this position provided support to the Housing Manager in matters relating to their role. This is a great position for a social worker or addictions support worker.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts a primary liaison for all treatment and detox centers, counsellors and agencies to provide information for their clients and for recommending clients that may benefit from a stay in at Oxford House.
- Performs initial screening protocols, interviewing and orientation of successful residents.
- Performs assessment of potential clients for suitability for the Oxford House Saskatchewan Program.
- Work with Support Staff in the province to schedule intakes for potential new members.
- Provide detailed reports to government stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Has a strong work ethic and high attention to detail and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Act as Support Associate taking on those roles and responsibilities in covering on-call shifts, and vacations, when scheduled to do so.
- Provide administrative support to CEO when requested.
- Execute activities to generate new membership as directed and in collaboration with the CEO.
- Protects the security of Oxford House Saskatchewan digital networks and systems by following best practice for password creation and connecting to only secured networks.
- Assist and participate in the training of new staff in each Oxford House; and
- Preforms other duties as assigned.
- Will be working collaboratively with the intake coordinator as Oxford House SK expands.
Qualifications:
- Must have a diploma in mental health and addictions or a bachelors degree in a human services field from a recognized university/college.
Reporting Line: The Program Administrator reports directly to the CEO.
Time: Full Time 37.5 hours per week with additional on call Weekends/Vacations/Holidays
Rate: $50,000 per annum (3-month salary increase based on performance)
and $0.62 KM use of personal vehicle.
