About the Role
Diamond Construction Group is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to support our aggregate crushing operations.
This position plays a critical role in feeding crushers, maintaining consistent material flow, and supporting plant efficiency. The ideal candidate understands production, material control, and how to keep a crushing spread running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently in a crushing and screening environment
- Feed crushers and screeners to maintain consistent material flow and production rates
- Load trucks and manage material movement across site
- Prevent blockages, surges, and equipment overload
- Monitor feed material quality and communicate issues
- Work closely with crusher operators and site supervisors to maintain production targets
- Assist with plant setup, tear-down, and relocation
- Perform daily inspections, maintenance checks, and equipment care
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety policies, OH&S regulations, and site procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience operating excavators (civil, earthworks, or crushing preferred)
- Must have 2+ years loader experience
- Experience feeding crushers, screeners, or processing plants is a strong asset
- Strong understanding of material handling and production flow
- Ability to work in a high-production environment
- Mechanical awareness and troubleshooting ability (asset)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and work out of town as required
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, dust)
- Exposure to noise, vibration, and heavy equipment
- Fast-paced, production-driven environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Extended periods of sitting while operating equipment
- Frequent climbing, bending, and reaching
- Ability to safely use tools and operate machinery

Experience:
