Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Kitchen Assistant to join our events staffing team. We specialize in private events so candidates will need to arrange their own transportation to get across the GTA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including collecting dishes/cutlery and sanitizing surfaces.
- Running food from kitchen to tables and/or assisting catering staff behind buffet table.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with serving food and beverages to guests.
- Efficiently manage high-volume drink orders during peak hours while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain high standards of venue presentation by actively managing waste streams and maintaining clean guest environments
- Collaborate with team members to create a harmonious work environment.
Requirements
- Strong English language skills.
- Must be okay with being on your feet for hours at a time.
- Must consent to be used in social media posts for advertising/marketing purposes.
- Previous restaurant experience or background in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Experience in serving or bartending roles is a plus.
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
