The Role — And What It Isn't
This is not a customer service job. It is not a receptionist role. It is not order-taking.
This is inside sales. You are expected to hunt, quote, follow up, and close — every single day.
You will be held to revenue targets. You will own your accounts. You will be responsible for turning inquiries into purchase orders and lapsed customers into active ones.
If your background is answering phones and passing messages, this is not the job for you.
What Inside Sales at Roadway Actually Looks Like:
- You receive an inbound lead — you qualify it, quote it, follow up on it, and close it. Start to finish. You own it.
- You identify contractors and municipalities who haven't ordered in 6+ months — you call them. No one tells you to.
- You hit a spec you don't recognize — you figure it out, price it right, and get the quote out the same day.
- You manage a pipeline. You know what's open, what's stalled, and what needs a push today.
What We Need From You
- Bilingual — English and French — mandatory. Non-negotiable.
- Maritime roots. You know this market. You know how business gets done here.
- Minimum 5 years in a quota-based inside sales role — not support, not service, not coordination. Sales.
- Proven ability to read product specs and build accurate quotes without hand-holding
- Relentless follow-through — you don't wait to be asked twice
- Comfortable with phone-first selling — email alone doesn't close deals
- In-office, full-time. Every day. No exceptions.
