Role Purpose/Mission:
Leads and motivates retail sales team to meet or exceed sales targets and to contribute to overall sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivates and leads teams to achieve or exceed the planned retail sales goals. (Including your personals sales goal)
- Monitors retail goals daily, weekly and monthly in accordance with the seasonal plan (MTS)
- Establishes sales goals for each Beauty Advisor and monitors results through the daily business record
- Creates a unified team focused on customer-oriented sales efforts; fosters an environment of teamwork, graciousness and harmony
- Ensures that selling products based on listening and attending to customer needs, and that every transaction is a personalized experience
- Sets example by training Beauty Advisors to capture client information, input customer data including customer registration rate and email capture; replenishment focus
- Runs reports, queries, etc., in order to maximize sales opportunities (events, new products, replenishment)
- Captures competitive retail sales, including comments on what is working for the competition
- Monitors, analyzes and identifies opportunities based on utilizing the Art of Service strategy
- Researches and develops new business opportunities by cultivating relationships with other departments or outside groups that will result in increased retail sales and brand exposure
Daily:
- Identify stock needs
- Collect and input daily sales of Beauty Specialists
- Reminders of incentives or promotional activities
- Determine sales focus and/or opportunities – use reports and queries to achieve objectives
Weekly:
- MTS review with RSD
- Report weekly sales to RSD
- Competitive weekly sales (when available)
- Event results, where applicable
- Art of Perfection and Art of Beauty “report card” by Beauty Specialist
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of cosmetics/skincare sales experience, including 2 years’ experience managing staff.
- Ability to set appropriate sales goals and motivate staff to achieve the goals
- Superior customer service skills and the ability to coach staff in improving customer service
- Demonstrated knowledge of products and services and the ability to ensure that Beauty Advisors have the knowledge and tools needed to successfully perform their jobs
- Experience in and success in prospecting for and developing new clientele; ability to develop and maintain a strong network of contacts
- Ability to manage staff and to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to effectively and fairly set up work schedules; highly dependable and flexible to work various schedules, holidays and to fill in as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management
- Ability to perform with a high level of professionalism and present a positive image
