About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Automation Engineering Technician to join our engineering team. You will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the automated systems that power our high-speed beverage production and logistics operations. You will work directly under the Automation Lead to ensure maximum uptime, system integrity, and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on PLCs, HMI systems, and associated hardware.
- System Integration: Assist in the configuration and integration of industrial networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Modbus) and SCADA platforms.
- Project Support: Support the implementation of plant-wide upgrades, including machinery modifications and sensor/actuator installation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system changes, logic updates, and maintenance logs for all automated lines.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with production and quality control teams to address technical bottlenecks and improve line performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in an industrial automation or maintenance environment (beverage or food manufacturing preferred).
- Programming Proficiency: Solid understanding of PLC programming (Studio 5000/Logix, TIA Portal, or similar environments).
- Hardware Knowledge: Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial control panels, motor drives, and complex instrumentation.
- Technical Aptitude: Experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition) and relational databases (SQL) is considered a strong asset.
- Problem-Solving: A hands-on approach to mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
