Overview
We are seeking a skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of marine vessels and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a passion for marine technology. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, systems, and components
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble marine equipment
- Perform inspections to ensure vessels meet safety and operational standards
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all service activities
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on marine or similar machinery preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to work in various environmental conditions
- Prior experience in marine service or related field is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications necessary for the role
Pay: $21.00-$50.00 per hour
