Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes. This role requires a strong background in cloud platforms, operating systems, and DevOps practices to ensure the reliability and security of our infrastructure. The Kubernetes Platform Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize deployment pipelines and automate infrastructure management, supporting our ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across on-premises and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using DevOps tools and practices
- Manage virtualization platforms including VMware to support development and testing environments
- Develop and maintain shell scripts, Bash (Unix shell), and other automation tools for system provisioning and configuration management
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization within Kubernetes environments
- Integrate security best practices including VPN configurations to ensure secure access to infrastructure components
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Jenkins or similar platforms
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
- Stay current with emerging technologies related to cloud computing, containerization, and orchestration to recommend improvements
Experience
- Must have Banking Domain Experience.
- Proven experience working with Kubernetes in production environments
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix-based systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including services like EC2, EKS, or AKS
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware for environment setup and management
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), Java, SQL, and Shell Scripting for automation tasks
- Experience working with databases like Oracle and SQL Server is a plus
- Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and tools for continuous integration/deployment pipelines
- Understanding of network security protocols including VPN configurations
- Experience managing operating systems at an enterprise level with a focus on security and stability
