Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Sewing Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our industrial sewing and production shop. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, production management experience, and the ability to operate industrial sewing equipment.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day shop operations and production workflow
- Supervise and support sewing staff and production team
- Operate industrial sewing machines and assist with production as needed
- Train staff on sewing techniques, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Schedule production timelines and prioritize work orders
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance of sewing equipment
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Skills
- Previous experience managing a commercial or industrial sewing shop
- Strong industrial sewing skills and hands-on sewing experience
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
- Experience with production scheduling and workflow management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
