```Job Overview```
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Animal Care Attendant/Client Care Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a busy clinic setting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential care for our patients, assisting veterinary staff, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both animals and people, as well as answering phones, booking appointments, and processing payments.
```Key Responsibilities```
- Provide daily care for hospitalized animals, including feeding, cleaning, and administering medications as directed by the veterinary team.
- Assist with animal restraint during procedures, exams, and treatments.
- Maintain clean and organized animal kennels, cages, and treatment areas.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
- Assist with the intake and discharge process of patients, including weighing animals and ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring the clinic is stocked with necessary items and coordinate special orders for clients.
- Provide compassionate care and support to animals and their owners.
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of surgery rooms and equipment.
- Support clinic operations by performing routine housekeeping tasks and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for animals and staff.
- Follow all clinic protocols and procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain customer records and update information in the PIMS system.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide feedback to management.
- Provide excellent client care at the front desk
- Field client questions via phone and email, book medical appointments, process payments, and maintain a busy schedule
```Qualifications```
-Graduation from an approved Veterinary Assistant Program is beneficial but not required.
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or with animals is preferred.
- Strong interest in animal care and veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
