Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of communication between Maintenance and Operations, including during flight disruptions;
- Help return aircraft to service when they are grounded due to maintenance issues;
- Lead or support daily maintenance coordination meetings as needed;
- Support aircraft operating away from main maintenance bases;
- Track and communicate aircraft fleet status, including when aircraft are out of service and expected return times;
- Ensure required maintenance and operational reports are completed correctly and entered into company systems;
- Support reliable aircraft dispatch and help improve on-time performance;
- Oversee tools, parts, and ground support equipment, especially during large maintenance projects;
- Ensure company manuals, tools, and equipment are properly used and returned;
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety requirements while on shift.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of relevant aviation maintenance experience;
- Previous supervisory experience or training;
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills;
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations and safety management practices;
- A Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence (M1, M2, or E) is a strong asset.
