Environmental Lead – Excess Soil Management
GeoGuard Innovations Ltd. (GGI) is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer Lead or Professional Geoscientist to lead and grow our excess soil management services for infrastructure projects across Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to help expand an emerging service line by supporting existing clients, developing new business opportunities, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead excess soil management projects from planning through construction.
- Prepare and oversee Excess Soil Management Plans (ESMPs), soil characterization programs, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate soil sampling, laboratory testing, classification, reuse planning, and excess soil tracking.
- Provide environmental support during construction, including site inspections and regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, technical reports, and project budgets, and manage projects to successful completion.
- Collaborate with GGI's multidisciplinary team to provide integrated solutions for infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in excess soil management for infrastructure projects in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 and related environmental legislation.
- Experience managing projects and working directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and project management skills.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
