Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Fabricator to join our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and finishing natural and engineered stone with precision and care. This role supports the production of high-quality countertops and custom stone products for residential and commercial projects, including granite, quartz, marble, and other surface materials.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate granite, quartz, marble, and other stone materials according to job specifications and templates
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, CNC machines, polishers, grinders, and edge profiling tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and templates to ensure accurate fabrication
- Measure, cut, and shape stone slabs with precision to minimize waste and ensure proper fit
- Polish, edge, and finish stone surfaces to meet company quality standards
- Perform dry fits and quality checks before materials are sent for installation
- Apply epoxy, resin, and seam preparation techniques as required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment in the shop
- Collaborate with installers and project managers to ensure accurate production outcomes
- Follow all safety procedures when handling heavy materials and operating machinery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in stone fabrication (granite, quartz, marble, or similar materials) preferred
- Experience operating stone shop equipment such as saws, CNC machines, and polishers
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and templates accurately
- Strong understanding of stone cutting, polishing, and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with adhesives, epoxies, and seam finishing methods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced production team
- Physical ability to lift and handle heavy stone slabs safely
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required depending on role requirements
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
