Manager, Applications & Business Systems-SAP Plant Maintenance 6-12 months contract

Role Overview
As Manager, Applications & Business Systems, you will lead the maintenance, support, and enhancement of Alamos Gold’s ERP and business application landscape. You will ensure reliable day-to-day SAP S/4HANA operations, oversee application upgrades and implementations, and provide functional and technical leadership to internal teams and external partners. This role ensures systems are aligned with SOX compliance, ITIL best practices, and project management standards while minimizing disruption to site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Issue Resolution: Lead day-to-day support of the SAP S/4HANA environment, with a strong focus on SAP Plant Maintenance (PM). Diagnose and resolve system issues in collaboration with internal teams and external system integrators.
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and deliver effective SAP PM and EAM solutions that meet operational needs.
Process Design & Optimization: Configure, optimize, and enhance maintenance processes in S/4HANA, including notifications, work orders, task lists, and technical objects.
Project & Upgrade Management: Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and integrations with other SAP modules such as MM, PS, and FICO, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with minimal operational impact.
Training & Enablement: Provide functional leadership and expert-level guidance on SAP PM. Develop training materials, deliver end-user training, and support ongoing adoption of system enhancements.
Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain technical design documents, process documentation, and system guides to support audit readiness, compliance, and long-term system sustainability.
What You Bring to the Table
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant SAP certification(s).
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance or EAM functional consulting, including configuration, implementation, and production support.
- Expert-level knowledge of SAP S/4HANA PM, including maintenance processes, notifications, orders, and technical objects.
- Experience working within SAP S/4HANA RISE environments and familiarity with the SAP Fiori user interface.
- Strong understanding of SAP integrations with Finance (FICO), Materials Management (MM), and other related modules.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Salary: $98,600 CAD - 147,900 CAD

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.

Relevant SAP certification and a post-secondary qualification in IT, software engineering, or a related field.

SAP S/4 HANA PM: A deep understanding of maintenance processes, notifications, orders, and technical objects.
- (Expert-Level). Proven experience leading asset management solution delivery in SAP S/4HANA or ECC environments, with integration to other SAP and third-party systems. At least 6+ years of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance or EAM functional consulting, including configuration, implementation, and support.
