About the Role: Assistant F&B Manager
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000
The Assistant F&B Manager at Park Hyatt Toronto is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Joni Restaurant, In-Room Dining, Minibar, and Writers Room, ensuring an exceptional and refined dining experience for all guests. This role supports and leads front-of-house teams with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, service excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to Park Hyatt’s luxury hospitality standards. The Assistant F&B Manager is also responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service consistency across all outlets while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the team to deliver a top-tier dining experience, ensuring every detail reflects a luxurious in-room ambiance.
- Oversee order-taking, delivery, and service sequences, ensuring alignment with Park Hyatt standards.
- Train and encourage team members to greet guests by name, use Park Hyatt verbiage, and engage in meaningful interactions that enhance the guest experience.
- Enforce protocols on entering rooms, posture, and mannerisms to uphold the brand’s refined standards.
- Ensure the team has a thorough understanding of hotel offerings, especially the beverage list, and provide training on up-selling and cross-selling techniques.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop and lead training programs focusing on in-room dining etiquette, grooming standards, and room service sequences.
- Promote a service-focused attitude among team members, encouraging an understanding of luxury standards and guest engagement techniques to exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with the F&B and Culinary teams to meet daily operational needs
- Guarantee adherence to all health and safety standards, ensuring the back-of-house areas are equipped and maintained to prevent hazards.
