Job Description:
Oxford College is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct a one-time review of the Appliance Service Technician – Levels 1, 2, 3 diploma program. The successful candidate will evaluate the curriculum to ensure it aligns with current industry standards, apprenticeship expectations, and curriculum development best practices. The review will confirm that the program is relevant, comprehensive, and prepares graduates with the knowledge and skills required for employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the diploma curriculum, course outlines, and learning outcomes.
- Ensure the curriculum reflects current Canadian industry standards and apprenticeship expectations.
- Provide recommendations to strengthen the quality and relevance of the program.
- Submit written feedback within the agreed-upon timeline.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Appliance Service Technology or a Certificate of Apprenticeship in the trade.
- Minimum of five years of industry experience in Canada within the past ten years.
- Current knowledge of industry practices and apprenticeship standards.
- Strong written communication skills.
Additional Information:
This is a one-time contractual consultation completed remotely with flexible hours. The successful candidate will be engaged to review the curriculum and provide recommendations to support program quality.
