Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hospital & Animal Attendant to provide compassionate care for animals and support hospital operations. This role involves assisting with animal handling, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both animals and staff. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, attention to detail, and laboratory experience is a plus. Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect kennels, exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment according to clinic protocols.
- Launder bedding, towels, and other clinic linens.
- Assist with safely handling and restraining animals under the guidance of veterinary staff.
- Restock medical and cleaning supplies throughout the clinic.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist the veterinary team with patient care and clinic operations as needed.
- Report changes in patient behavior or condition to the veterinary team.
- Follow infection control and workplace safety procedures
- Provide daily care for hospitalized animals and monitoring comfort.
- Prepare prescribed medications by accurately counting, measuring, or packaging them according to the veterinarian's prescription and clinic protocols, under appropriate supervision.
- Label and package medications accurately, ensuring all prescription information is complete and matches the prescribed directions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals is desirable .
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, and cleaning.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour
