GEI Consultants is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Technical Designer / Civil Technologist to join our growing London, Ontario team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of municipal infrastructure and civil engineering projects while collaborating with experienced engineers, technologists, and project teams across Ontario.

About the Role
Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, the successful candidate will support the design, drafting, and field coordination of a variety of civil, municipal, and infrastructure projects. This position provides exposure to both office-based technical work and field responsibilities, offering a well-rounded and engaging experience.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Prepare plan, profile, and detailed design drawings for municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and water/wastewater infrastructure

Assist with grading, servicing, drainage, and stormwater management design for land development projects

Complete design calculations related to storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, and stormwater facilities

Conduct field work including topographic surveys, site visits, and construction inspections

Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and contract documentation

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors throughout project delivery

Support project delivery activities and other responsibilities as required
Minimum Qualifications
-
Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent training and experience

Eligibility for or completion of OACETT designation is considered an asset
-
4- 8 years of related design and drafting experience for intermediate/senior-level candidates

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Experience with municipal infrastructure and land development projects

Construction or field inspection experience is considered an asset

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Collaborative and professional approach with a strong attention to detail

Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
