Sleep Shop has been helping Greater Vancouver sleep better for over 45 years. We are a family-owned specialty mattress and bedroom furniture retailer.
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Associate to join our operations team in Richmond.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in staying organized, working efficiently, and making sure every customer order is accurate and ready to go. You’ll play a critical role behind the scenes—receiving inventory, preparing deliveries, organizing the warehouse, assisting with showroom setup, and helping maintain the high standards Sleep Shop is known for.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe on a daily basis
- Put away incoming inventory in the correct designated areas
- Maintain clear staging areas for deliveries and transfers
- Keep warehouse tools organized and stored in their designated location
- Notify the Operations Manager when supplies are running low
- Keep the exterior yard, cardboard disposal, and garbage areas tidy
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries from vendors
- Confirm received inventory matches packing slips and purchase orders
- Report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items immediately
- Assist with inventory movement between warehouse and showroom locations
Delivery Preparation / Staging
- Prepare customer deliveries and stock transfers with accuracy and efficiency
- Verify all items are correctly tagged (size, model, colour, components)
- Ensure all parts required for complete orders are staged together
- Example: storage beds with multiple components
- Organize staged deliveries in route order whenever possible
- Inspect mattresses, furniture, and unboxed products for damage before staging
- Photograph unboxed products as proof of condition prior to delivery
- Escalate any damage concerns immediately to management
Showroom & Product Setup
- Move and position products between warehouse and showroom
- Assist with showroom resets, floor changes, and new product setups
- Help maintain the appearance and presentation of the showroom floor
Skills & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Min 3 years experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Physically capable of lifting and moving mattresses, furniture, and related products
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Strong communicator who can flag issues quickly
- Comfortable using smartphones for photos, delivery notes, and communication
- Experience in warehouse, delivery, logistics, furniture, or retail operations is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is an asset (if delivery support may expand)
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
