Job Description:
Responsible for residential purchase, sale and mortgage transactions, private lending transactions and some commercial real estate transactions. Will have carriage of each file from beginning to end and be responsible for preparing all requisite documents and communicating with clients.
Some ability to work remotely.
Skills and Qualifications:
Legal Assistant/Law Clerk Diploma
Knowledge and experience using Teraview and familiarity with other commonly used real estate software and portals
Knowledge and experience using PC Law for billing purposes
Minimum 1.5 years full time experience working on purchase and sale real estate transactions at a law firm in Ontario
Good communication and organizational skills
Professional manner
Good command of Microsoft Word, Outlook and general computer literacy.
Ability to learn quickly, to work independently and to prioritize work
Must be very organized and detailed oriented
Responsibilities
- Prepare and proofread real estate documents for accuracy.
- Manage timelines and organize files.
- Maintain effective communication with clients.
- Bill all real estate files.
- Open, close and retire files
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, managing correspondence and banking
- Utilize Teraview, PC Law, Microsoft Word and Outlook to prepare and organize legal materials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
