Job Summary
Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pharmacist to join our team (SDM877 and SDM843). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, medication management, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and safety protocols
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Manage medication therapy reviews and monitor patient progress for optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain detailed documentation of all pharmacy activities in compliance with legal requirements
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and expiration checks
- Educate patients on health and wellness topics, including medication adherence and lifestyle modifications
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, acute care standards, and pediatric medication guidelines when applicable
- Participate in medication administration processes within the pharmacy setting
Experience
- Prior hospital experience or acute care experience is highly desirable
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
- Previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting will be considered an asset

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
