Job Description
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the purchasing and supply chain activities of the aviation manufacturing operation by ensuring the timely procurement of materials, components, and services required for production.
This role coordinates purchase orders, tracks supplier deliveries, maintains inventory levels, and works closely with production, planning, quality, and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
The Procurement Coordinator monitors supplier performance, resolves supply issues, maintains accurate procurement records, and ensures compliance with company policies, aviation industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
➢ Creation of Purchase orders, ensuring on time deliveries, expediting and inventory
control.
➢ Coordination for the supply and delivery of shop support materials to the repair shop,
adhere to shop floor scheduling, lead time reduction, inventory control, shortages and
obsolescence activity.
➢ Working with Shortage Report to minimize lead times.
➢ Administer supplier performance.
➢ Demonstrate a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
policies. Continually focusing on individual safety and the safety of others who may be
affected by your work and to fully comply with all Legislation
➢ Perform other related duties as required, such as; Cutting repair orders, Pricing, Cost
analysis, Assisting with inventory management, Processing exchange pool components,
Processing Customer repairs
➢ Ability to define problems, gathers data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
➢ Setting up and maintaining current product for consumables material MSDS (Material
Safety Data Sheet) and TDS (Technical Data Sheet) in ERP program and submit to Quality
Assurance for binders.
➢ Cost reduction analysis;
➢ Maintain effective and professional relationships with other departments of the facility as
well as other locations;
➢ Support, contribute and participate with the Management Team;
➢ Assist with the organization of stores and shipping/receiving;
➢ Good analytical skills and organizational skills;
➢ Good understanding of freight and Customs procedures and costs;
➢ Ability to navigate aircraft manuals easily;
➢ Good communication skills for customer interaction and negotiation.
Education Requirements
➢ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
➢ Training or coursework related to aviation, manufacturing operations, quality systems, or inventory management is preferred.
Experience Requirements
➢Minimum 1–3 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials coordination experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
➢ Experience in the aviation, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
➢Experience working with Quantum for procurement and inventory transactions is a strong asset.
