Major Responsibilities
- Prepare course materials, assessments, projects as per prescribed learning objectives.
- Maintaining student confidentiality and professionalism for student success.
- Ability to follow processes, policies, and procedures for all forms of assessments.
- Maintain positive student-centered classrooms.
- Available to participate in practicum monitoring and other campus events.
- Other opportunities to revise and/or develop curriculum may be added, deleted, or changed at the discretion of management.
Requirements for Job
Instructors must have an appropriate combination of education, occupational experience, and teaching experience as follows:
- Minimum two years of experience in a Social/Community Support Worker role.
- Completion of certificate or diploma in Social/Community Service Worker or Social Services.
- Teaching experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of LMS systems and MS Office is an asset.
- Professional interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and mentorship skillsets are all assets.
- Current Emergency First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates.
- Basic American Sign Language proficiency is an asset.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
