The Winnipeg Monarchs and Winnipeg Blues are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial leader to lead and execute the business operations of two competitive junior hockey programs.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the organization. You will work closely with team leadership, including the General Managers, while being actively involved in selling, building relationships, and executing the day-to-day business of hockey.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being around the rink, and wants to make a real impact in junior hockey.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlayer Revenue & Contract Management
- Manage player contracts, payments, and collections
- Work directly with families to ensure compliance and clear communication
- Track agreements and maintain accurate records
- Support GMs with player commitment and retention
Sponsorships & Partnerships
- Sell and manage team sponsorships and partnerships
- Build relationships with local businesses and community partners
- Create new revenue opportunities and sponsorship assets
- Ensure all sponsor deliverables are executed
- Drive partner retention and renewals
Ticketing & Revenue Growth
- Lead ticket sales strategy:
- Season tickets
- Group sales (minor hockey, schools, corporate)
- Game-day ticket sales
- Work with marketing to drive attendance and fan engagement
Events & Additional Revenue
- Execute revenue-generating events:
- Spring ID Camps
- Summer youth camps
- Golf tournaments and fundraisers
- Identify and launch new revenue opportunities
Game Day & Operations
- Oversee all game day execution
- Recruit and manage volunteers and part-time staff
- Coordinate ticketing, timekeeping, and in-game operations
- Support and manage the billet program
Financial Administration
- Coordinate invoicing, collections, and payments
- Work with accounting on financial tracking
- Assist with budgeting and reporting
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, business operations, sports, or event management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Passion for hockey is a strong asset

Schedule
- Evenings and weekends required (game days and events)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
