Ideal Candidate is someone in Semi Retirement wanting to continue to be active, to work on a part time permanent basis.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. This ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engine equipment and Golf Course machinery. This role requires strong mechanical, and electrical, along with excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. The Repair Technician will work in a great environment, he or She will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely to meet the Golf Course needs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery, automotive equipment, and industrial systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Conduct minor welding repairs and modifications as needed
- Interpret technical diagrams to identify problem areas
- Perform some lifting tasks safely and efficiently during repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used (maintenance program)
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and solutions effectively
- Assist in the installation of new equipment parts when required
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience with mechanical diagnosis and repairs, small engine and equipment repair, preferred
- Strong command of English language
- Some Welding skills and electrical experience preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely (up to 35 pounds or more)
- Previous mechanic experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of our team environments
- Relevant certifications or training in small engine repair, welding, electrical systems, or automotive repair are advantageous
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $29.00-$31.89 per hour
