The Family Medicine team at the Northeast Edmonton Community Health Centre is seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting patients, physicians, and the healthcare team while contributing directly to positive patient outcomes. As the central hub of the clinic's daily operations, you will combine exceptional front-desk service with hands-on clinical support to ensure a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out. Your ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and work collaboratively will be essential in maintaining efficient clinic flow and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will support physicians during minor and complex office procedures, maintain exam room readiness, accurately record vital signs in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and coordinate referrals to programs and services throughout the city. You will also manage a dynamic task list that supports ongoing patient care, ensuring follow-ups and clinical actions are completed in a timely manner. In addition, you will answer phones, schedule appointments, and serve as an important point of contact for patients navigating their healthcare journey. Working alongside physicians, nurses, learners, and administrative colleagues, you will be part of a collaborative team that values communication, reliability, initiative, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Flexibility is essential in this role, as the successful candidate must have the ability to pick up short notice, additional shifts, call-in opportunities and vacation coverage to support clinic operations as needed
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
