Summary
We are currently looking for a Registered 442A Electrical Apprentice who has completed 4000 hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance, repair and installation of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and control system issues under supervision
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, and control devices
- Assist with testing and commissioning electrical equipment and machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance on motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and production equipment
- Support the diagnosis and repair of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated systems
- Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and clamp meters
- Follow the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, company policies, and health and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders as required
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, production, engineering, and operations teams to minimize downtime
- Assist senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Follow safety protocols and industry standards during all tasks.
- Document work progress and report issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical processes.
Qualifications
- Registered 442A Electrical Apprentice
- Completion of 4000 hours
- Willing and able to work 3-shift rotation, flexible hours and overtime as required
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems)
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Automotive industry experience is an asset
Pay: From $34.27 per hour
