Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer unit on dedicated regional/highway routes.
- Secure flatdeck freight using straps, winches, and edge protectors according to load security standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic logbooks (ELD) and shipping documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and dedicated customer personnel at pickup and delivery locations.
Requirements
- License: Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct flatdeck experience required; 3+ years of total Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of cargo securement regulations (specifically strap application) and safe driving practices.
- Professionalism: Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining safety standards.
