Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites to facilitate building projects efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and a strong understanding of construction processes. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment on various job sites.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers to perform excavation, grading, paving, and material handling tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans accurately and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company regulations during operations.
- Support site preparation, material movement, and site cleanup activities as required.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators (Caterpillar preferred), loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Valid AZ driver’s license would be an asset for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Knowledge of construction processes including grading and site preparation.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing project needs.
