We are looking for candidates that are mechanically inclined to repair, and test tanks and equipment on highway petroleum cargo tanker trucks and trailers. When we say mechanically inclined we are referring to individuals who are mechanically driven to understand the way parts work and are capable of using air tools and small hand tools to repair them. Internally this position is referred to as a B620 inspector which signifies the individual responsible for testing the unit to the B620-20 standard which is a regulatory standard the industry is governed by.
Responsibilities:
To repair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts on petroleum pumps, piping and metering systems used to load and unload tanker trucks
To perform low and high pressure tests on tanks and their equipment using both air an water
To check all tank piping, valves and equipment for faults and for leaks
To pressure test, repair and replace delivery hoses and fittings
To disassemble and reassemble faulty equipment in order to replace or repair
