Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining fiber laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC laser cutting processes, mechanical systems, and quality standards to ensure precision and efficiency in production. Training will be provided but previous experience required.
Duties
- Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate cuts according to blueprints and specifications
- Set up CNC laser equipment, including programming and calibration using CNC programming skills
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for proper part fabrication
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Utilize additional manufacturing equipment such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, cranes, and forklifts as needed for material handling and processing
- Assist with assembly processes when required, ensuring parts meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC laser cutting and CNC programming techniques
- Experience with plasma cutting, welding, machining, and assembly processes
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including press brakes, CNC lathes, milling machines, and hand tools
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Familiarity with quality inspection tools such as calipers and measurement gauges
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.73-$25.00 per hour
