Speedy Publishing Canada Limited is seeking a Manager with several years of experience in Illustrated Book Publishing.
REQUIREMENTS:
Languages - English; Education - Bachelor's degree; Experience 3 years +
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish procedures and implement policies in publishing house; Plan and maintain production schedules; Resolve production issues, delays, and workflow efficiently; Recruit, hire and supervise staff; Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses; Ensure compliance with copyright, permissions, and licensing requirements; Initiate or approve development of books; Liaise with authors, and illustrators; Oversee book production, from idea generation to publication; Keep track of all file versions and documents throughout the publishing process; Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements; Plan page layouts and electronically alter shape, size and positions of illustrations and text; Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations; Design and layout pages; Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on distribution schedules and launch plans; and Liaise with distribution retailers and wholesalers.

Salary - $38.25 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
