We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduling & Tooling Coordinator to join our Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in manufacturing, production planning, and operations.
Position Summary
The Scheduling & Tooling Coordinator supports the day-to-day production planning process by helping coordinate production schedules and ensuring the required tooling is available for upcoming jobs. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality, this role helps keep manufacturing running efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
- Update and monitor work orders in the ERP system.
- Coordinate with Production to track job progress and schedule changes.
- Help ensure tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools are available for upcoming jobs.
- Follow up on tooling orders and communicate shortages to the appropriate departments.
- Work with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to support scheduling and tooling requirements.
- Maintain accurate production and tooling records.
- Assist with organizing and tracking tooling inventory.
- Support production meetings by providing scheduling updates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College diploma or relevant education in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining or manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with an ERP/MRP system is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
